Staff Appraisals Get Underway

As part of an improved approach to staff support and communication, Envirocare have established a comprehensive appraisal system which will contribute to staff personal development and enhanced levels of customer service.

Ben Roxburgh, Contracts Manager is leading the appraisals and feels the opportunity to appraise staff and gather feed back is essential.  “This process is very new to me so Dave, Mick and I have prepared thoroughly.  The system we have adopted includes a rating matrix which provides a sound basis for  improvements and personal development.  So far the meetings have been well received, the discussions have gone really well and the guys have made an excellent contribution, coming up with ideas for the future.  As well as the personal benefits of a staff appraisal, this experience will make my job more effective and cement relationships with the team.”

Appraisals will continue into early February with Ben visiting staff at sites in Newcastle, Warrington and Wallasey.

Mark Prepares Tender Documents

Last week Mark made the trip back to Head Office for a brain storming session to complete

Mark busy on PQQ preparation

pre-qualification questionnaires.  “It was good to be back” said Mark “the information required to complete the submission was fairly detailed, input from the Envirocare team was essential.  I visited the sites in early January and got a feel for the quantity and quality of work expected, I feel confident Envirocare can meet those expectations.”

Envirocare’s Noel Keane keeps a constant look out for tender opportunities “my role is primarily to make contact with potential customers and provide some support to the franchisees in their efforts to source new work.  This has naturally developed into sourcing larger jobs through tender websites and email alerts and inturn, advising  franchisees how they can do this for themselves.  Envirocare’s excellent service standards, robust management systems and dedicated staff team put us in a prime postion to compete for the bigger contracts.”

Mark Stevens is one of the first 10 franchisees who took advantage of the introductory franchise terms, his area covers Stratford.  For further information on Envirocare’s franchise opportunity contact Paul Shipley on 0800 0283329.

Seasonal Newsletters

Communication is a vital part of running a successful business and for Dave, Envirocare MD contact with staff, franchisees and customers is something he takes seriously.  Dave said “In July of last year we decided to carry out a customer satisfaction survey, it was short and sweet but resulted in some excellent feedback, it also gave us a few ideas for improvement – one of which was the newsletter.  We decided to publish it seasonally and adapt it according to the reader – staff, franchisee or customer but basically the information is the same.  The Winter issue has been well received and we have welcomed readers to contribute to the Spring issue, it’s an effective way of making all those connected with Envirocare aware of current news, events and achievements.”

If you would like a copy of the Winter news letter or have something  to contribute to the Spring issue forward your ideas to Angie at angie@envirocarems.co.uk
