The Toughest Technology in Town

The Panasonic Toughbook

Here at Envirocare, we take investment in new technology very seriously – especially if it helps enhance our customers’ satisfaction.

Mick Mann, Operations Manager, says

“As most of my work is done out in the field, any technology that I use has to be able to withstand the weather!”

The Toughbook does not let him down!  It will withstand anything that is thrown at it – literally!  This machine is perfect for Micks role.  He needs access to a tough but bespoke system, allowing quick data entry out in the field.  The Toughbook allows Mick to draw up reports and take photo’s of our customers’ sites, he can then send that report back to head office without delay.

All of our sites are regularly visited by Mick  and inspections are randomly scheduled on sites throughout the county.   Never using a pattern or the area as a hint to where he will be next, ensures the excellent standard of work runs throughout Envirocare.  Each visit has an indepth report of findings accompanied with photographs.  Whichever teams’ job it is to take care of that site will also get a copy of the report, including things that are of a high standard or if anything that could be done better, even listing ideas for future visits.  With the backup of photographs this ensures nothing is missed or misunderstood.

It is proving a great hit with the sites that have their own Contracts Managers.  These guys also need to fill in their own reports on the various contracts they have in place, they can use our regular reports as part of their own monitoring system.

Mark & Terri get their ACT! together

Monday, October 17th, 2011

Alison, gives Terri some tips from when she did the course

Here at envirocare we take our CRM (Customer Record Management) database very seriously.  We have invested heavily in this area.  David Yates, Director says “It is important for us to keep ahead with technology and having a system in place that monitors everything we do for our clients, no matter what it is, is key to that”

As everyone in the company uses this as a central point for all information, we all know just how important it is to keep all of our information together so that we can learn from what we do, making us better going forward as well as monitoring what everyones role in any action was on behalf of our clients.

Terri Graham, Reception and Mark Shaw, Regional Manager Yorkshire are the newest recruits onto the next ACT! training course and I hope they have a good nights sleep the night before!

Alison Capper, Administration, says “The training is only for 2 days, but boy do they pack the information in, its an intense course, I remember it well!”

NEBOSH Success for Angela

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

We are all very proud of Angela who has passed her NEBOSH (National Examination Board of Occupational Safety and Health) course with a distinction – “CONGRATULATIONS ANGELA”.

Angela commented “I had missed the post that morning and when I saw the envelope on the table I was a little nervous but I was delighted when I saw I had received a distinction.” It was not a surprise to the team who were well aware how hard Angela worked towards this. Since completing her IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) course, Angela has thrown herself into the many aspects of Health and Safety that our work incorporates. As Health and Safety Coordinator she will work closely with Mick Mann Operations Manager, who currently takes the lead in implementing frontline Health and Safety.
