Envirocare Maintenance Solutions – Contractor of the Year 2011/2012

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011

Monday evening was a night for celebration as Envirocare Maintenance Solutions were voted Contractor of the Year at the 2011/2012 Property Management Awards.  The black tie event was hosted by News on the Block and held at the home of cricket, Lords’ County Cricket ground.  Dave, Jan, Phil and Sue made the trip down to London excited to be in the final three and optimistic about coming out on top.

The purpose of the awards ceremony and dinner was to recognise and celebrate excellence in the property management industry.  Whilst hosted by News on the Block, all the Awards were independently judged by an experienced panel of property experts representing the different stakeholders in the industry.  The Award categories were not just designed for property managers but also those organisations that supply services to the industry such as Insurance companies and Contractors.  These categories demonstrate the breadth in skills that the industry demands and the important influence third party agents play in ensuring services are delivered effectively.

Congratulations also goes to Danielle Twittey, Property Manager for Buckshaw Village.  Danielle won the Property Manager of the Year category, a testimony to her hard work and dedication to the residents of Buckshaw.

We’ve yet to get an official statement (and photos) from Dave but at 10.05pm last night we all received a big congratulations!! by email – teamwork and hard work definitely pays off.

Toolbox Talks

Monday, November 14th, 2011

Toolbox Talks – Continual training is essential for the reduction of accident/incident rates and the occurrence of ill health and environmental damage in our workplaces. Toolbox Talks play a major part in our continuing effort to create an increased awareness of hazards present in our workplaces and the precautions which must be taken to eliminate or control them.  Our regular toolbox talks keep the Envirocare team up to date with good health and safety practice while our ‘team briefs’ make sure everyone is up to speed with company changes and developments.

Envirocare Continue To Deliver On Customer Satisfaction

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

During March our twice yearly customer satisfaction survey was conducted and once again the results are very pleasing.  The survey retained its straight forward format and everyone contacted was happy to answer the questions and provide favorable, constructive feedback.

The questions included how customers rate our service, whether they would recommend our service to colleagues and industry contacts and how they feel about the level of customer service provided.  The responses allowed for Very Satisfied, Satisfied, Not Satisfied or Definitely, Probably or Probably Not, customers were also encouraged to comment further.  A couple of the comments included:

“New contractor – good start, I’m impressed so far.  I hope to see it continue”

“Excellent service, yes I have recommended you to others.  Your staff are very helpful, I’ve never had cause to ring with a problem”

All of the results and comments have been collated and will contribute to future service improvements and developments.

Facilities Management Show 2011

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

Organised in association with the British Institute of Facilities Management, The Facilities Show has established itself as the leading meeting place for the industry.  From 17th – 19th May the NEC hosted this year’s show and Envirocare were one of over a hundred businesses in attendance.  The three day event provided a fantastic opportunity for Dave and the team to network – meeting and connecting with all the right people.  “We had a very productive three days, our follow up is already bearing fruit and I’m positive we will cultivate several new working relationships” reports Dave.

Noel Keane, Envirocare’s Sales Manager had a great time at the show “my job generally involves making contact with facilities managers by phone and email, the show gave me the opportunity to discuss face to face the outstanding service provided by Envirocare.  I met lots of people from across the country I had already spoken to prior to the event, it was excellent.”

The Facilities Show wasn’t the only reason for Dave’s trip to Birmingham.  On Wednesday he was presented with Envirocare’s RoSPA gold award at a ceremony held at the Hilton Metropole Hotel.  The award is recognition of the company’s progress and commitment to occupational health and safety.

Improvement Works Well Underway

Thursday, April 28th, 2011

As the company expands and the staff team grows, the offices at New Inn Farm are becoming a little cosy.  At the end of 2010 plans were drawn up to utilise the space at Head Office and as a result building work got underway at the beginning of April.  Dave tells us “It soon became apparent that the current office layout wasn’t going to work, we have recruited steadily over the last year and of course more people need more space.  New Inn Farm is a fantastic building and provides Envirocare with an excellent location and base, the obvious solution was to get the builders in.”

Disruption will be kept to a minimum and visitors won’t be inconvenienced by the building work which is due for completion before the summer.
