Andy Drives off in Envirocare Customised Van

Friday, December 17th, 2010

Last week Andy our Exmouth and Exeter franchisee made another long trip up to the Head Office in Leyland but this time he made the journey by train.   The reason?  Andy was collecting his customised, personalised Envirocare Grounds Maintenance van.  “The van is great, I’m really pleased with the result” said Andy.

Over the past year all the Envirocare vehicles have been ‘wrapped’ with Envirocare signage and the franchisee vehicles have been no exception.  Each vehicle hosts the familiar Envirocare logo alongside the name and email address of the franchisee.  “No one can miss us when we’re on the road or parked up on a job, it’s a great way to get noticed” commented Dave  “I’m also happy to be supporting another local franchise, Sign-A-Rama, Preston.  Keddy, our contact at the branch works hard to get the vans wrapped ready for our franchisees to take back to their areas.  Sometimes the schedules are really tight but the end product is first class.

The recently purchased fleet has already been snapped up but Dave is confident he can source and customise more of the same.

Training Complete! – Three more Franchisees set to get started

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

During mid November, the Envirocare team welcomed three new franchisees to New Inn Farm.  Neil, Paul and Andy arrived bright and early to embark on the three day, in house training programme.

Lindsay, Business Development Manager organised and led the sessions.  “The in-house training is just the start.  The sessions include marketing, health and safety, employment law, IT, customer service and accounts.  The franchisees are then supported out in the field to market, price and schedule new jobs as well as receiving practical help and advice on carrying out the grounds maintenance.”

Lindsay added “In the New Year we have additional training planned for all the franchisees, this will involve external training for PA1 and PA6 Spraying licences including refresher training.  We also have the next round of franchisee training starting 17th January – needless to say I’m looking forward to the winter break, a chance to recharge my batteries!.”

Second Round of Training is a Big Success

Thursday, November 4th, 2010

1st – 3rd November saw the second round of Franchisee training at New Inn Farm, Envirocare Head Office.  Lindsay, Business Development Manager led the sessions with input from the Envirocare team as well as Compass Management Solutions, Dansam IT support and Bibby Employment Law and Health and Safety Consultants.  “I’m really proud of our training” enthused Lindsay “the three days have been none stop but we’ve covered all the bases – the guys have left ready for business!”

And the feedback couldn’t be better.  Our Newcastle Franchisee Ian has wasted no time in expressing his thoughts and feelings about being part of the Envirocare team.  Ian emails “Thank you very much for organising the 3 day programme which we found to be most useful as well as a great opportunity to meet many of the key staff. The buzz around the office was very powerful and reflective of the direction Envirocare is moving in. The level of support provided and offered is most reassuring especially as we are new to this business but we hope we can play our part in building on the successes to date.”

With the next three Franchisees due for training mid November, there’s barely time to take a breath!

‘Who Cares?’……Envirocare!

Thursday, November 4th, 2010

New franchisee Andrew Dewhurst is already making his business a family affair.  During school half term, Andrew and his two sons got stuck into marketing his Envirocare franchise by calling on local businesses providing ‘live quotes’ for grounds maintenance.   Lindsay, Envirocare Business Development Manager joined Andrew and the lads for the day out and about in Chester.  “We had a really good day and met some lovely people.  The face to face, on the job approach is a fantastic way of introducing Envirocare to local businesses, they can see we provide a customer focused, quality service.”

By mid afternoon Andrew’s eldest son felt he had done his bit.  “Who Cares?” became his response to everything – at 12 he’s on the verge of turning into ‘Kevin the teenager’.   Listening intently to the latest round of “Who Cares?” from his brother, Andrew’s youngest son chirped up “Enviro….CARE!!!”   “It was a classic comment” said Andrew “definitely one for the Envirocare blog!”

Envirocare Sponsors Euxton Girls

Thursday, October 21st, 2010

A sunny Sunday morning in September found Dave, Envirocare MD on the side lines of the under 14’s Euxton Girls football match at Wellfield School, Leyland.  The girl’s regular training sessions are held at the Buckshaw Sports facility, a facility managed and staffed by Enviorcare.  “We were approached by Dennis, club secretary, to sponsor the girl’s this season” reported Dave “it seemed like a good opportunity to strengthen our link with the local community and to support the regular users of the Buckshaw sports pitches.”

Euxton Girls were founded in 2002 and have several teams ranging from under 10’s to under 18’s. They’ve had their success stories over the years, in April of this year the under 14’s team competed in an international tournament in Holland and finished a more than acceptable third place.  In 2009 four members of the squad made the transition into ladies football and are now playing for local teams Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers.
