Envirocare’s Southampton depot were recently tasked to reinstate a fire break around a site perimeter and reduce the tree height.

Non of the staffIMG_0001 there had ever used or worked on a MEWP (a Mobile Elevating Work Platform – a powered machine that offers a temporary work platform allowing work to be conducted safely at height).

All the Southampton staff were trained to use the MEWP as well as additional chainsaw training – meaning that the Southampton depot is now fully competent, trained and risk assessed for this difficult task.
