Magpies Come Close to Victory

So close and yet so far…..Tuesday night’s thriller at Victory Park saw Chorley loose out to Tamworth FC after extra time led to a penalty shoot out. Chorley fought back from 2 – 1 down, scoring an equalizer in the 91st minute, the packed terraces went wild. The Magpies managed to keep the visitors at bay for another 30 minutes only to be beaten in a sudden death shoot out 6 – 5.

Tuesday night saw a record crowd on Victory Park with queues forming out of the ground. Saturday promises to be another exciting game as Chorley face rivals Skelmersdale at home battling for top spot in the league table.
