Envirocare supporters of Chorley FC travelled to Boston on Saturday to witness one of the most nerve wrecking games of their lifetime. The play off semi-final second leg was held at the Jakemans Stadium, in front of a fierce crowd of 3,174.
After going 2-0 down in the second half, just about everybody had written the Magpies off. However, it took just seven minutes to reduce the arrears, Chris Doyle netting from a very tight angle following a free-kick to the delight of the supporters behind the goal. An injury in injury time meant this period of play would be extended, and Chorley took full advantage with Adam Roscoe scoring the most incredible equaliser, with a back to goal bicycle kick
In the end, the heroic Magpies won the game 5-4 on a penalty shoot-out to reach the Conference North play-off final which will cap off an unbelievable debut season at this level.
