Since January 2013 Envirocare have been working in partnership with Myerscough Agricultural College supporting apprenticeships across the Envirocare group. Learners undertake workplace learning over a 12-18 month period which involves on the job training, e-learning modules, classroom sessions and mentor observations. The bespoke apprenticeship is made up of number of different nationally recognised qualifications including:
- Level 2 Diploma in Work-based Horticultre
- Level 1 English
- Level 1 Maths
- Employee Rights and Responsibilities
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
- First Aid Certificate
- PA1 Sprayers Licence
Envirocare are committed to the apprenticeship scheme and currently support nine apprentices across the network. By gaining recognised qualifications and competence within the industry, Envirocare apprentices have the opportunity to progress onto the Advanced Apprenticeship in Horticulture and to develop their career within the organisation.
